Daniel Ernest Walsh, 79 years of age, passed away on September 10, 2022.
Daniel was born on August 18 th , 1943 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts to Harold R. Walsh and Rose D. (Plante) Walsh.
He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School in North Attleboro and Bristol County Agricultural High School in Dighton, Massachusetts.
He worked as a jewelry polisher in the Attleboro Massachusetts jewelry industry, and later learned the trade of welding where he worked for 17 years at Clemmy Tank in Mansfield, Massachusetts and 15 years at Kaylan Trailers in Gatesville, Texas. He then retired to Rockport, Tx, with his wife of 37 years, Elaine (Pearson) Harkness.
His interests were archery, hunting, fishing, camping, billiards, softball and horses, and attained champion status, in multiple fields. In his later years, he favored fishing, having fished from Cape Cod Canal to the Gulf of Mexico. He also loved the New England Patriots football team.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Walsh; Keith and Lisa Courtemanche (daughter); Melissa Walsh(daughter); Wade and Lisa Harkness (stepson); Anthony Harkness (stepson); John and Dawn Roca (stepdaughter); Alfred and Patricia Briggs (sister); and Phyllis Pineo (sister); 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous, extended family members.
He is preceded in death by Daniel E. Walsh Jr, his own parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
At the appropriate time, Danny and Elaine’s mortal remains, will be given back to Mother Earth, released to the Gulf of Mexico, which they dearly loved.
The family extends heartfelt Thanks, to all the doctors and nurses, Silver Pines NF, Gracias Hospice, and Providence FH, for all their care and understanding, through this difficult time.
