Greg Pou

Greg Pou, 59, of Bastrop, passed away on December 2, 2022. He was born to John and Nita Pou in Houston, Texas, on October 16, 1963. Greg grew up in Houston and graduated from Eisenhower High School. He went on to attend Angelia Junior College in Lufkin and then Stephen F Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He spent most of his life in Austin and Bastrop and was employed by Unifirst in Austin. Greg married his beloved Beatrice on December 19, 2020 in Bastrop. He had a great love of animals and fed his "wild critters" every night. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Beatrice, his mother, Nita and brother, Glyn. His stepchildren; Chris, Roy Matthew and Vanessa (Jaime). Seven grandchildren, four nieces and one nephew. Greg is preceded in death by his father John Pou and sister Kathy Pou Ford. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, 2079 Highway 71 East, Bastrop, Texas 78602.
