William (Bill) Hardy Hancock, 68, of Bastrop, passed away on 4-22-23 in Austin. Bill was born in Humansville, Missouri to Louis and Peggy Hancock on 6-12-54. He went to school in Pasadena, Texas, and later married Marsha Hancock on 11-21-81 in Aberdeen, Mississippi and later graduated from the University of Houston. Bill was a History Teacher for Pasadena/Bastrop ISD for 27 years. He loved fishing, painting, watching movies, listening to music, reading, his family and God. Bill is survived by his wife, Marsha, his sons, Brandon and his wife Morgan, Chris and his wife Kayce and Bo and his wife Rachael. His sister Kris and brother Bobby. He had five grandchildren, Holly, Casey, Alexander, Penelope, and Wyatt. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Peggy, his sister Linda Moore and brother Gilbert Hancock. The service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday April 27th in Bastrop, Texas, at the Bastrop Christian Church, 1106 Church St. Bastrop, Tx 78602. Memorials may be given to the Bastrop Christian Church.
