Wayne Nalley

Wayne Nalley, 63, of Bastrop, Tx died peacefully at home surrounded in love by his family.

Wayne grew up in Kentucky, the youngest of 16 in a close-knit and loving family.

He moved to Texas soon after high school gradation and made it his home.

Wayne never met a stranger. He would befriend anyone and everyone with his laughter, great sense of humor and quick wit. He lived life with joy and a smile on his face! He was a natural born talker and you often heard him before you ever saw him. (Friends would come around corners, across stores saying, I knew that was you, Nalley.) His laughter and voice were so recognizable. Wayne had a big heart and he gave of his talents to so many and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Wayne was a dad to four sons and you knew that because he bragged on them all the time. They were his pride and joy. He coached them all through baseball and football in their younger years and never missed a game or meet through their older years of sports and JROTC. ‘Papa’ had four grandchildren whom he adored and loved spending time with. He also cherished his relationship with his late mother-in-law, Jean Sterling, whom he loved and admired.

Wayne worked in the commercial HVAC field for over 40 years. He always said, ‘it wasn’t a job if you loved doing it.’

Wayne enjoyed sharing his knowledge and skills, especially with those getting started in the field.

Wayne’s faith in God brought him strength, peace, and comfort throughout his life and sustained him in his final years.

Wayne will be remembered and missed deeply by his wife, Sue, and his sons Tyler, Ryan, Shane, and Dusty along with numerous family and friends.
