Timothy Paul Vines

Timothy "Tim" Vines (1983-2023) Tim, 39, of Bastrop, TX, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2023.

Tim was born on July 6, 1983, in Santa Maria, California. He grew up with a love for sports and began playing football in the 3rd grade, he later picked up fishing, grilling and Bass guitar.
Tim graduated from Killeen High School (home of the Kangaroos) in 2001, where he was a well-regarded student and a proud Kangaroo supporter who played on the football team and set records that are still unbroken to this day. He went on to attend Cisco Junior College where he also played the game, his jersey number 70 always stood out. Tim graduated in 2003 with a degree.

Tim decided to become a CDL truck driver after working diligently with a respected company that became his family. Through the years, Tim became known for his friendly and caring demeanor, often lending a helping hand to anyone he crossed paths with. His dependable and supportive nature endeared him to friends, family, and colleagues alike. Many will remember Tim as someone who embraced life, always ready for a fishing excursion or sharing a laugh over a freshly grilled meal. In his free time, Tim displayed a significant talent for playing the bass guitar, He also enjoyed following his favorite sports teams and enthusiastically cheering them on.

Tim is survived by his beautiful loving wife and friend Beckie Vines; parents, Sandra and Vincent Vines; sister ,Shavaughn Vines of Oakland CA; grandmother's: Erma Rollins of Austin, Tx and Clarette Vines of Bastrop, Tx and many family members as well as friends.

We will always remember Tim's warm spirit and will hold onto the memories of Tim. We invite friends and family to join in celebrating Tim's life at a Memorial Service to be held at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home located at 2079 State Hwy 71, Bastrop, TX 78602 on Monday, March 27th at 1:00pm with doors opening at noon.

Tim will be remembered as an individual who brought joy to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in peace, Tim.
