Sherrie Dayle Gum

Sherrie Dayle Gum of Cedar Creek, Texas passed into heaven on December 19, 2023. She was 61 years old. Sherrie was born in Houston, Texas, to Gloria and Ronnie Browne on November 19, 1962.  Sherrie married Dale Gum on April 2, 1983 and they were blessed with a long and happy marriage for over 40 years.

Sherrie and Dale owned and operated Angel Babies Child Care Center in Cedar Creek, Texas for 21 years. Sherrie adored caring for children, devoting much of her time and attention to them.

In her personal time, she enjoyed spending time with family, attending concerts, and bike rallies. Sherrie loved gardening and spending time outdoors including sitting on the front porch with Dale, watching the sunset.  Sherrie was very creative and made soaps, candles, her own oils, and make-up.  She also loved animals and had pet dogs, cats, fish, chickens, and peacocks.

Sherrie is survived by her husband Dale, her daughter Jessica, her son Jordan, her twin sisters Tammy and Therese, her granddaughters Dylan, Brynlee, and Cassidy. She also has 4 nephews and 2 nieces.

Sherrie was preceded in death by her Grandparents, her Mother and Father, a Father-in-law, three Uncles, two Aunts, a Sister-in-law, a Brother-in-law, a Cousin, and a Nephew.

Sherrie Gum’s Celebration of Life will be held in the afternoon of April 6, 2024, near her home in Cedar Creek, Texas.  More details on exact location and times will be available in March.
