Scott Alan Pearson, 57, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away on September 11, 2021 in Austin, Texas.
Scott was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Bruce and Dee Pearson on January 11, 1964 and grew up in Elk River, Minnesota. He married Yolanda Alvarado on July 13, 1991 in Roseville, Minnesota. He graduated from St. Cloud University with a Bachelor’s in Education and later graduated with his Master’s from St. Mary University.
He worked as an educator in Hutchinson & Anoka ISD (Mississippi & Ramsey), Minnesota for 10 years, and 18 years in Texas at Bastrop ISD (Emile & Bluebonnet Elementary, GT Teacher in Cedar Creek & Bastrop Intermediate, and 1 year in Dripping Springs Elementary).
Scott was an adventurous man and had many hobbies. He enjoyed spending time with his family, loved to fish, hunt, scuba dive, garden, and ride horseback and motocross. He was an intelligent man with many stories, and most importantly dedicated his life to follow Christ, and show God’s love to everyone he encountered.
Scott is survived by his wife, Yolanda of 30 years, his two daughters, Rayna and Cammie Pearson, his brother, Chad Pearson (Michelle), his sister, Andrea Peterson (Chad), and his parents Bruce and Dee Pearson.
Scott is preceded in death by his grandparents, Reuben and Bety Pearson and Harold and Florence Hunt, and uncles, Roger and Ralph Hunt.
Visitation will be at 4-7 pm on September 17th, 2021 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home (2079 SH-71 E Bastrop, TX 78602).
Funeral services will be held at Trott Brook Gospel Hall, in Ramsey, Minnesota. Burial services to follow at Trott Brook Cemetery.
