Sandra Lee Ritter Hall was born Saturday, September 13, 1947 to Joseph Ritter and Margaret Pearce in Beacon, New York.
She was the first of three including her brother Robert Ritter and sister Lesley Aron-Bayof. Her mother abandoned the family when she was nine years old, leaving her as a young matriarch. She was raised by her grandparents Jacob and Sara Ritter and later went on to live in Phoenix, Arizona where she met her husband, Sigourney Hall.
She completed her undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University and also completed a Masters of Psychology at St. Mary’s University. She dedicated her life to helping others, first working in a battered women's shelter, then pioneering open adoption, and finally to academic and career counseling.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Hall, daughter-in-law, Annaleise Hall and grandchildren, Ella Hall, Ian Hall, and Rebecca Kight.
