Sallie Kelly

Sallie Kelly, age 77 passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at St. David’s Hospital in Austin. Sallie was born October 13, 1946, in Austin, Texas to Joseph Lonnie Young and Elise Elizabeth Bradford Young.

Sallie loved spending time with her family and spent many years as a caregiver to her family. She was always there for whoever needed her. She enjoyed cooking huge meals and having the whole family come over for dinner and/or breakfast gatherings. While her health allowed, she attended Foundation Christian Ministries and was also a media church member of the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries for over 20 years. One of her favorite memories was when she got to travel to Baton Rouge to attend a Mother’s Day service and met Donnie Swaggart.

Sallie is survived by daughters, Theresa Kelly of Bastrop, Rhonda Eaves and husband (Doby) of Giddings; son, James Kelly, Sr. and wife (Shelly) of Cedar Creek, 8 grandchildren Stephanie Hodge and husband (Nick); Lee Kelly; Brittany New and husband (Justin); James Kelly, Jr. and (wife) Tamara; Andrew Kelly; Joseph Barnes and wife (Stephanie); Rachael Kelly; and Coltin Hitchcock. 8 great-grandchildren (Elena, Jacob, Jaxon, Kendall, Brendon, Bentley, Steven and Oliver). Sisters Jean Guardiola and husband (Eli); Sherry Parker and brother Bobby Parker and wife (Diana) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Sallie was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Lee Kelly Sr.; sons, Boyd Lee Kelly, Jr., and Roger Dean Kelly; parents Joseph Lonnie Young and Elise Elizabeth Bradford Young and brother Lonnie Ray Young.

Family visitation will be January 4, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, 2079 State Hwy 71, Bastrop, TX 78602.

Graveside service will be January 5, 2024 at 2pm at Fairview Cemetery, 1307 State Hwy 95, Bastrop, TX 78602 with Judge Benton Eskew officiating.
