Ruben Jimenez

Ruben Jimenez, 64, of Guatemala, gained his angel wings on Sunday March 10th in Austin.

Ruben was born in Tiquisate-Escuintla in Guatemala to Cayetana Ruano Reyes and Lucas Jimenez Ixen on March 23, 1959. He married the love of his life, Silvia Madrid Gutierrez, on October 19, 1985 in Guatemala City.

He worked as an expert stonemason for Petrillo Stone Corp through the Union of Tile, Marble, Terrazzo, Local #7, in New York for 21 years.

Though he never received any paper awards, he received the highest of honors and achievements. The praise he received from family and friends holds more weight than anything else. His success and achievements come in th form of his four children and eight grandchildren that held him in the highest esteem. Not only that but the love and admiration of family, friends, bosses, and coworkers.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially all of his grandchildren. He loved traveling to visit family and friends. His favorite hobbies were sudoku, riding motorcycles, fixing cars, and doing any do-it-yourself fix-it projects around the house, and playing with his dog, Rocky, named after one of his favorite movies.

Ruben is survived by his beloved wife, Silvia Jimenez, his daughter Evelyn with her daughter Amaryllis, his son Christian with his children Mason, Dexter, and Esperanza. He is also survived by his daughter Katherine and her children Alessio, Esaias, Eli, and Erinne, as well as survived by his daughter Kimberly. He is also survived by his siblings Ana Maria, Gerardo, Hector, Glenda, and Aleyda.

Ruben is preceded in death by his parents, Cayetana and Lucas, his mother and father-in-law, Olga and Elifas. He is also preceded by his brothers and sister, Arturo, Eduardo, and Thelma.

Visitation will be held at 2 PM on Friday March 22 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow immediately at 6 PM. We welcome any family and friends who would like to join in celebrating the life of Ruben Jimenez

Rubén Jiménez, de 64 años, de Guatemala, obtuvo sus alas de ángel el domingo 10 de marzo en Austin.

Rubén nació en Tiquisate-Escuintla en Guatemala de Cayetana Ruano Reyes y Lucas Jiménez Ixen el 23 de marzo de 1959. Se casó con el amor de su vida, Silvia Madrid Gutiérrez el 19 de octubre de 1985 en la Ciudad de Guatemala.

Trabajó como expert stonemason para Petrillo Stone Corp a través de Union of Tile, Marble, Terrazzo, Local #7, en Nueva York durante 21 años.

Aunque nunca recibió ningún premio en papel, recibió los más altos honores y logros. Los enaltecimientos que recibió de familiares y amigos tienen más peso que cualquier otra cosa. Su éxito y logros se ven en la forma de sus cuatro hijos y ocho nietos que lo tenían en la más alta estima. No sólo eso, sino el amor y la admiración de familiares, amigos, jefes y compañeros de trabajo.

Disfrutaba pasar tiempo con su familia, especialmente con todos sus nietos. Le encantaba viajar para visitar a familiares y amigos. Sus pasatiempos favoritos eran el sudoku, andar en motocicleta, arreglar autos y hacer proyectos por la casa, y jugar con su perro, Rocky, que lleva el nombre de una de sus películas favoritas.

A Rubén le sobreviven su amada esposa, Silvia Jiménez, su hija Evelyn con su hija Amaryllis, su hijo Christian con sus hijos Mason, Dexter y Esperanza. También le sobreviven su hija Katherine y sus hijos Alessio, Esaias, Eli y Erinne, así como su hija Kimberly. También le sobreviven sus hermanos Ana María, Gerardo, Héctor, Glenda y Aleyda.

A Rubén le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Cayetana y Lucas, su suegra y su suegro, Olga y Elifas. También le precedieron sus hermanos y hermana, Arturo, Eduardo y Thelma.

El velorio se llevará a cabo a las 2 p.m. el viernes 22 de marzo en Batrop Providence Funeral Home. Los servicios funerarios seguirán inmediatamente a las 6 p.m. Damos la bienvenida a todos los familiares y amigos que quieran unirse a la celebración de la vida de Rubén Jiménez.
