Roy Williams, age 67, of Cedar Creek, TX, passed away on July 21, 2024. Roy was born in Brawley California to Roy and Marie Williams on July 9, 1957. He is survived by his sister, Kelly Jeschke, of Cedar Creek; children, Sheldon Caracci of Conroe, TX, Taylor Williams and Fiancé, Aaron Perez of San Antonio, TX, Tristan Robertson and husband, Randall, of Seguin TX, Mallory Olson and husband, Cody, of St. Hedwig TX; grandson, Chandler Caracci; and granddaughter Bella Shimonek.
Roy earned a diesel mechanics degree from TSTI in Waco, now known as Texas State Technical College. His first job out of school was with Brown and Root in Houston, TX. He went on to become known in the oil field as one of the best mechanics in the trade.
Roy was a gear-head through and through. Even in early childhood he took things apart and put them back together. An avid NASCAR fan, pit master, and most of all, a proud and loving father and grandfather.
Roy will be missed but forever remembered when hearing Stevie Ray Vaughan, smelling bar-b-que, seeing hot rods (he knew where all the hot rods in the neighborhood lived) and relaxing in the pool.
In honor of Roy’s life, mass will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Ascension Catholic Church, 804 Pine St. Bastrop, TX 78602, at 11:00 am, with a reception to follow at Southside Market and Barbeque, 534 Highway 71, Bastrop, TX 78602
