On Saturday October 12, 2024 at 8:03 am, our wonderful Daddy {Pops} made his peaceful journey to heaven with his bride of 63 years by his side. Although he will be missed beyond words, we know he will continue to love and watch over us for the rest of our lives. Had we known it was your last, we would have stopped the world just to hear you laugh and tell you we loved you one more time. God just needed you more and we praise him for answering our prayers.
Our Daddy spent his life driving truck. He spent most of his career working for Capital Aggregates as a concrete truck driver and worked his way up to a Supervisor, he was so proud of himself. He worked from sun up to sun down to take care of his wife and children. He was always tired, but never complained. He taught us how to work hard and play harder. He loved his children and he was so proud of us no matter what. He loved hunting and fishing and making time for his family. The love for us was pure and never ending. Our Dad would give you the shirt off his back. He would drop everything to help each and every one of us. He was an old school man with pride in everything he did. The stories he could tell and the lessons we have learned will forever be held close to our hearts.
Papa loved all of his grandbabies and great grandbabies so very much. He looked so forward to every holiday so he could watch them run and play, it brought him so much joy. Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday, good food and family. We will keep our traditions going for you. The chair at the head of the table will always be open in your honor. Our Hero, Our Daddy Our Pops This is not goodbye, It’s until we see you again. We love you.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
