Ronald Allen Davidson of Smithville, passed away on November 7, 2020 in his home in Upton.

Ron was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Oscar Davidson and Alma Sonnenberg Davidson February 15, 1939. He went to school in Grand Forks. He married Mary Davis on September 12, 1959 in East Grand Forks, Minnesota.

He worked and owned Discount Feeds in Bastrop for 31 years with his wife and sons. He was also a honorably discharged veteran of the National Guard.

He enjoyed family, horses, and working in his shop.

Ron is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary Davis Davidson. His children: Donald Williams, Peggy Davidson Schutz and Robert Davidson. His grandchildren: Dawn Marie Williams, Craig Stach, Jillian Stach, Suzanne Schutz Bogan, Christopher Davidson, Reese Phillips, Shelby Phillips, Katy Davidson, Matthew Davidson, Ryleigh Phillips, Donovan Williams and Maddison Williams. His great-grandchildren: Grace Bogan and Trinity Bogan.

Ron is preceded in death by: his parents Oscar and Alma Davidson, his children: Gary Davidson, Mary-Beth Davidson Stach and Barbie Davidson Phillips. His siblings: Norris, Roy, Donna, Leatrice, Barbara, and Ralph.

Grave side funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Young School House cemetery.
