Robert Morris Wiley Iii

Robert Morris Wiley III, age 52, of Bastrop, passed away on June 14, 2023, peacefully in his home. Robert Morris Wiley III, was born in Lockhart, Tx to Bonnie Sue (Childress) Wiley. Robert Morris Wiley Jr. on May 01, 1971. Raised in Bastrop in a loving home with Bonnie Sue and Michael Clay Fisher. He graduated from Bastrop High school in 1989 then attended Austin Community College. Robert and Etta have had a beautiful life together for the past 27 years! They got married on July 08, 2000 on the river in Bastrop. While raising 3 beautiful children together and enjoying the company of their 4 grandkids. He was a police officer for Sun City-Austin, Smithville Texas, Lockhart Texas and Bastrop County 911 Operator. He medically retired as a Dispatch Operator for Bastrop County for a total of 18+ years. He was a former member of the Bastrop Fire Department and served the department with honor. Robert loved the outdoors! He was either on a boat, in a deer blind or had a chair in the river always alongside his friends or family! He wasn’t too bad either at throwing washers with his buddies. Robert Morris Wiley lll is survived by wife Etta Wiley, 3 children Christopher Fletcher, spouse Stacy Fletcher, Sara Wiley, Clay Wiley, spouse Jessie Wiley. 4 Grandchildren Hazel, Hudson and Holston Fletcher, Kastan Wiley and soon to be the 5th Waylen Wiley. Brother and sister Mary Sue Leathers and husband Robert, Wesley Wiley. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, in addition to lifelong friends. Robert Morris Wiley lll is preceded in death by parents Robert Morris Wiley Jr. and Bonnie Sue, Michael Clay Fisher (stepdad). His paternal grandparents Robert and Wilma (Eskew) Wiley and maternal grandparents Robert and Florence Childress. Visitation will be on June 19, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on June 20, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, 2079 Highway 71 E, Bastrop, Tx 78602. Internment will follow after the service at Fairview Cemetery 1307 State Hwy 95, Bastrop, Tx 78602
