Robert Howard Faubus

Robert (Bobby) Faubus, age 66, of Bastrop, Texas passed away on August 20, 2024.

The son of the late Robert Lee Faubus and Lucille Harper Faubus, Robert was born in Austin Texas on November 27, 1957.

In addition to his mother, Lucille; Robert is survived by his brother, Dell Faubus, both of Bastrop; Uncle Ernest Harper (Myra) of Bandera Texas; Aunt Lilly Bixby of Bastrop; and 20 cousins.

Robert grew up in Elgin until he was 15 years old when the family moved to Bastrop. He was a graduate of Bastrop High School and Texas State Technical College at Waco Texas where he earned a certification in Auto Collision and Management Technology.

His passion was auto restoration of classic muscle cars. In his leisure time, Robert enjoyed music concerts and sci-fi or horror movies and tv series.

He loved celebrating holidays with his family; especially Christmas, which he began preparing and planning for months in advance.

The family holiday tables will be missing an integral member now that Robert is in Heaven with his Lord Jesus.
