Richard always enjoyed being active in the community and was a lifelong member of The Bastrop Lions Club and sold pancake tickets to everyone he knew and a few he didn’t know.

Richard enjoyed being with family having large Bar-B-Q’s, and everything about being a cowboy.

Richard was preceeded in death by his parents, Frank and Onie Wilkinson; his only sibling, brother Clemon Wilkinson and his beloved wife, Doris Wilkinson; and multiple cousins he cared deeply for.

While Richard actually had no children of his own you wouldn’t know that by talking to his step children, grandchildren or great grandchildren.

Richard is survived by step children Charles Wilson & wife Ann , Debra Clark, Robert Wilson and Mozann Dobbs; grandchildren Lisa Wilson, Ashley Ward & husband, Heath, Charles Wilson & fiancé, Karlin Higgins, Leigha Dobbs, Makai Dobbs, Tyler Wilson and Jacob Wilson; great grandchildren  ( don’t tell anyone but they are his favorites) Kalyea Owens, Tristan Ward, Paisley Ward, Andrew Pim, Kynleigh Wilson, Corben Ward and Bransyn Wilson.
