Peggy Ann Oliver

May 1, 1951 — July 29, 2020

Peggy Ann Oliver, 69, of Bastrop, Texas passed away on 29, July 2020 in Austin Texas.

Peggy Ann Oliver was in born Pesos, Texas to John C. Robison and Eva Jewell Robison on 1, May 1951. She went to High School in Lubbock, Texas. She worked for the El Paso Orthopedics clinic for 20 years and then worked at Do it Best Hardware store in Canutillo Texas for 10 years. She was involved with Coronado High school Choir with her daughter in El Paso Texas.

Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family, talking and visiting with people and especially her Grand kids. She had three grandchildren; Chelsee Gardner, Trey Gardner and Jaxson Gardner, but most of all was her adorable Great grandson, Adrian Games Jr. She most of all enjoyed listening to George Strait and the Statler Brothers. Her dogs, Sheba and Buffy were very loved and will be missed. These dogs followed her everywhere and went on numerous road trips with her and she spoiled them. The funny thing is, Peggy Ann had a lead foot and would speed down the interstate. She was a strong Texas woman. She was very proud and loved her state and boasted about it all the time. She loved watching her favorite movies like Gun Smoke, Murder She Wrote and finally, she was hooked on Hulu and watched several shows. She treated her son-in-law as if he were her own and he would always say that he was her favorite son- in-law to which she replied, “you're my only son-in-law” and they would laugh together. Her daughter, Denise Gardner developed a special relationship and this was so important to Denise and Peggy and nice to see them talk and laugh. They would always go get a manicure and pedicure and it was a mother/daughter thing, later her son-in-law Robert joined in on the fun! She would talk to her sister Bunny and brother Johnny, which was important to her and always made her feel good. She always liked talking to Bunny’s grandsons Jayce and Matti. Mom was so proud of those kids and enjoyed talking to them. Peggy always talked about Bunny’s son Brandon as if he were her own. She was very proud of the man he turned out to be and she loved all her grandchildren and their children.

Peggy Ann Oliver is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Denise & Robert E. Gardner; grandchildren: Chelsee C. Gardner, Trey A. Gardner and Jaxson T. Gardner; great grandchild, Adrian Games Jr.; sister, Paula & Bryan Shaw; brother, Johnny C. & Tana Robison; nephews: Brandon Shaw and John Casey Robison; niece, Brenna Shaw and several cousins: Matti Chambers, Kati Smith and Jayce Floyd.
