Paula Marie Weber

October 6, 1959 — November 3, 2020

Paula passed way the morning of Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at her home in Bastrop.

Paula Marie Weber was born on October 6, 1959 in Houston, Texas to Stephen “Grip” and Evelyn (Gourley) Weber. During high school she was very involved with the arts and acting and received “Best Actress” from the State of Texas. After graduating from high school, she worked for several merchants. She was a floral designer and worked at Bastrop Florist. She enjoyed her jobs of working at the local café and First National Bank. Her customers would wait in line so Paula could be their teller. Her laugh would fill the bank. She would save the money from her jobs to go on vacations. Paula loved going to places of historical significance such as Washington DC. She loved history and was proud to be an American. As time went on, she also became the primary caregiver to her parents. Paula was also good at doing crossword puzzles and should have been on Jeopardy as she knew many random facts. She was known for her green thumb and could bring almost any plant back to life. Growing up near the Colorado River, she learned to swim at a young age and loved being in the water any chance she had, especially the Blanco River. Holidays were always a special time of year as Paula was the lead chef and made us her personal assistants. She would make a thousand cookies along with countless other dishes. The town looked forward to the “cookie table” and all the treats that were made. She was the only one that could make her ginger snaps “snap”. She was a social butterfly, and her laugh was infectious. Her Catholic faith was very important to her. Paula loved being around people. She did everything with her whole heart. When she was talking with you, no distractions could get in the way of the time spent together. This trait made her touch the lives of many.

She is preceded in death by her father, Grip Weber.

Paula is survived by her significant other, Lisa Bartsch and her daughter Aimee & Jimmy and their 3 children of Bastrop; mother, Evelyn Weber; sister, Traci and Dave Potter of Bastrop; brother, Warren Weber & Tami Goode of Cedar Creek; niece, Codi & Dusty Kadlecek of McDade; nephew, Jake & Emily Potter of Leander; niece Ciera Goode, of Cedar Creek; nephew, Cody Goode of Cedar Creek; two great nieces, Stevi and Landri Kadlecek of McDade; the Kresge’s of Bastrop as well as many other family members and friends.
