Patricia Louise Bost

Patricia Louise Bost, 75, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, June 12, 2022, in Bastrop, Texas. She was born on February 23, 1947, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, to Esta Louise Beck Snodgrass. Patricia married the love of her life, Gary Bost, on November 13, 1995, in Bastrop, Texas.

Patricia attended Gallia Academy High School in Gallipolis, Ohio, and graduated in 1965. She devoted her energy immediately to becoming a homemaker, a job she would maintain lovingly for all her life. During her early years in Ohio, she helped her first husband, Charles Smith, build his woodworking business. Patricia became a real estate agent but would find her passion was serving and supporting people. Using that passion, Patricia made a career as a flight attendant with US Air and stayed with them through their mergers and retired from American Airlines. She soared the friendly skies for over thirty years having many adventures flying to domestic and foreign destinations. Throughout the years she formed many lasting friendships and bonds with her fellow flight attendants and flight crews. She loved talking about her travels, experiences and adventures.

Patricia left places and people better than she found them. The adage she lived by was cherishing life and treating each day as a gift. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, family, traveling, cooking, and spreading kindness. She was a devoted Christian, who was unafraid to talk openly of her relationship with the Lord which brought her great joy every day. She was an inspiration to others. Patricia was a bright light in this world with a kind and gentle soul, and she will be dearly missed by all who love her.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Esta Beck Snodgrass, 2005, and by her son, Kevin Smith, 2002.

She is survived by her spouse, children, siblings, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

No funeral service is planned at this time due to distance between family members and friends. However, we ask that loved ones and friends honor Patricia by spreading kindness in this world and do a random act of kindness in her name.
