Ofilia B Lopez

On March 7, 2024, Ofilia B. Lopez made her heavenly journey home, where we are sure she was welcomed by her late husband, “Beto”. Ofilia was born October 21, 1941, and married her love, Humberto G. Lopez on June 7, 1960, they spent 55 years raising and loving their family. She is survived by her children, Humberto Jr., Gilbert (Sandra), Jaime (Tanya), Ida (Martin), Diana (David), Olga (Guadalupe), Dora and Celinda; Grandchildren; Joey Garcia (Cheryl), Alex, Alexis, AJ, Raquel (Cyril), Ashley, Melissa (Raymond), Lupe (Marcia) and David; and many Great-Grandchildren.

Ofilia worked for Bastrop I.S.D. in the school cafeteria for 25 years where her favorite part of the job was laughing and joking with the kids as they came through the lunch line.  In her retirement years she really loved playing Bingo and Mexican Bingo anytime the family got together. She also looked forward to trips with her Sidekicks (Daughters and Daughter-In-Law, Tanya) to “La Coushatta” to play the slots where she always seemed to have the best luck. She was always the life of the party, and her laugh was loud and full. She enjoyed teasing all the kids and cooked like no other. She loved with all she had and made sure we were all happy. We will miss her, dearly.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.
