Nathan Allen Koi

Nathan (Nate) Allen Koi, 48, passed away in Houston after a brave 2-month battle against a rare brain infection. Nathan was born June 17th, 1975, at Seton Medical Center to Miki & Yvonne Koi.

Nathan received a liver transplant on June 24th, 2019, that changed his life, and he was eternally grateful. Over the past 4.5 years, he was able to watch his son Trevor graduate high school and his daughter Avery graduate college and begin medical school. He also was able to get married to Julie Harvell, take in her 5 kids as his own, build their dream house, and have 4 beautiful grandchildren. These have been the best years of his life, as he was proud, happy, and loved being a Papa.

Nathan graduated from Bastrop High School in 1993. He worked at Matthison A/C, Aqua Water, Hampton Inn, and then finally as a Facilities Manager at First National Bank, which he loved and was proud of.

Nathan loved fishing, hunting, and seeing his favorite bands in concert. He and his wife Julie have loved traveling and have been on numerous vacations over the past 9 years.

Nathan was reunited in Heaven with his three brothers, Mike, Anthony, and Bryan, grandparents, Earl and Dot Baker, Audrey Kotila, Zolton Koi, aunts, Denise Baker, Becky Bostic, and uncle, Kinki Koi.

Nathan is survived by his wife, Julie Harvell, parents, Yvonne & Miki Koi, sister, Niki Koi, children, Avery & Trevor Koi, Kelcey (Paul), Kyle (Amanda), Kolbly, Khenley (Jared), & Katie Harvell, and grandchildren Ellie, Bradie, Sutton, & Stetson.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm Friday, January 26, 2024, at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Nathan's Life will be held at 11:00am Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
