Nancy A. Mendez

Our Beloved Mother

Nancy was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and later moved to Oklahoma where she went to school and lived throughout her childhood and early adulthood. Nancy met her husband Lorenzo, while both being at a hotel, coincidentally. They began dating immediately and fell in love with one another, they wed in October 1991 and have been married for a wonderful 33 years.  Nancy volunteered at numerous church affairs, and school events for all of her children and grandchildren, holding memorable parties and gatherings. She would help everyone who crossed her path and would always greet you with a kind smile and hug. Nancy has touched so many lives.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Lorenzo Rosales Mendez, and her children, Rene, Lorenzo Jr, Robert, Marie, Maria, Lillie, and her grandchildren  May, Abby, Mia, Mateo, Ella, Penny, Maximiliano, Kaiden, Lorenzo David, Lorenzo Angelo, Lyriq, Andres and Melody.

A visitation will take place on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 2pm-6pm at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. The recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place at 5:00pm.
The funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 10:00am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 E 2nd St, Austin, TX 78702.

El visitación se llevará a cabo el domingo 20 de octubre de 2024 de 14:00 a 18:00 horas en Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. El rezo del Santo Rosario se llevará a cabo a las 17:00 horas.
La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo el lunes 21 de octubre de 2024 a las 10:00 horas en la Iglesia Católica Cristo Rey, 2208 E 2nd St, Austin, TX 78702.
