Mona Patricia Sload

In Loving Memory Mona P. Friske Sload, age 72, passed from this life Thursday June 21, 2018 at home in Rockne TX. Mona was born October 5, 1945  in Dallas TX to Edward & Mona Kelley. Mona attended Texas Woman’s University in Denton TX. Mona worked in accounting & management for the State of Texas & Eagle’s Bank where she retired in 2011 after 25 years. Mona loved the outdoors especially fishing and camping at some of her favorite spots including Bastrop State Park, Galveston & Lake Conroe. Mona enjoyed time in the kitchen whipping up recipes to share with friends & family like pasta dishes, pea salad and hot sauce. Mona was preceded in death by her parents & brother Leslie “Bubba” Kelley. Mona is survived by her husband of 26 years James D. Sload; son John C. Friske and his spouse Melanie; daughter Kelley Friske Goertz and her spouse Michael; grandchildren Colten and Scarlett Friske and Matthew, Kaia, Caden and Brenna Goertz; as well as multiple nephews, nieces and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday August 18, 2018 at Providence Funeral Home in Bastrop TX.
