Molly was born April 12, 1954, in Springfield, Missouri to her parents Bill and Thelma Barnes. She took her last breaths by adoring family on August 19, 2024. After high school graduation from Houston, Missouri in 1972, she married her late husband Terry Tomlin and raised 2 sons, Chad and Chuck. Molly continued her education to become a LVN and shortly after became a RN. In the early 80’s the Tomlin family moved to Texas where Terry worked in the oil industry and eventually settled in Bastrop, Texas.
She worked in all areas of the hospital including transport by ambulance at Bastrop Memorial Hospital. She later worked for Chuck Mallet MD before entering into her long career in home health industry where she retired as a compliance officer. A high accomplishment for Molly was becoming a Legal Nurse defined as a Professional Expert Witness allowing her to testify in court.
In 2016, Molly received a call from Mark Beck who was a friend she had known from the 80’s. He was having health issues and thought he was making a call to say goodbye, but Molly refused that prognosis. As a nurse, she took Mark on as a project but over time they grew close and married in late 2017. She began attending the Sacred Heart Church where after strong commitment to her faith Molly became Catholic allowing them to marry under the eyes of God on the same day in June of 2020. They have been inseparable ever since.
Molly is preceded by her father and mother, Bill and Thelma Barnes, as well as by her late husband, Terry Tomlin and her brother-in-law, Ron Hollenbeck.
Molly is survived by her husband, Mark Beck. Her sons, Chad Tomlin and his wife, Neala and Chuck Tomlin and his wife, Stephanie. Her stepchildren, Heather Bailey, Melody Beck and Thomas Hyde. Her grandchildren, Nathan Tomlin, Cally Tomlin, Presley Tomlin, Coleton Tomlin, Brendin Tomlin, Briley Tomlin, Addison Hyde, and Aubrey Hyde. Her siblings, John Barnes, Peggy Baumgartner, Sally Barnes, Wendy Mueller, and Kelley Lamson. Her nieces and nephews, AJ Barnes, Joe Baumgartner, Michael Staples, Randy Staples, Jake Ramsey, Cody Ramsey, Courtney Lamson-Ralph, Brittany Lamson-Azevedo and Zachary Lamson.
Molly enjoyed friends and family gatherings, riding motorcycles, painting, crafts, water sports, fishing and other outdoor activities. But most of all she was passionate about helping others and making everyone smile. She lit up a room, brought happiness to others and will be missed by everyone.
