Micheal Anthony Cole

Micheal Anthony Cole passed away on Tuesday May 21, 2024 at the age of 65. He was a resident of Cedar Creek, Texas having moved to Austin from Chicago, Illinois in 2008.

Mike retired from a professional career in accounting having graduated from Chicago State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business & Administration in 1982. He held various accounting positions such as; a CFO for a paper and packaging agency, Paper Express, a production control accountant and foreman of transportation for the Chicago Tribune, as well as an accountant for various hospitals & rehabilitation facilities and an auditor for the IRS.

Mike's senior years were not easy for him, having to endure numerous health problems & weekly dialysis after losing his kidney functions.

Mike was wickedly funny at times in spite of the challenges life threw at him. He persevered though his struggles, always ready to share a laugh or give an opinion. Mike was passionate about music. He spent some years being a virtual DJ in music chat rooms hosting sets, sharing and entertaining many from his vast music library.

His suffering is finally over and he has risen above it.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Mike’s life in Chicago on Saturday July 13th, 2024. Services begin at 11:00 am, at the Oak Woods Cemetery , 1035 E 67th St, Chicago, IL 60637 followed by a repast at 1:30 pm at the Dawn Eatery, 1642 E 56th St, Chicago, IL 60637.
