Melissa Marie Burdick, at the tender age 51, passed away peacefully in her sleep; comfy at home early in the morning of December 10, 2022. Melissa Marie Rogozinski was born on February 5, 1971, in Toronto, Canada at Grace Hospital to Beverley and Jim Rogozinski. She attended Seneca College of Nursing and began her career in Texas where she continued her career with a passion and dedication to taking care of others for over twenty-eight years, she was a proud nurse and was so lucky to travel around the states and met other wonderful people. She married the love of her life, Steven Boyd Burdick on January 25. 1996 in Fredericksburg, Tx. She was the loving mother of Jessica Rogozinski (Gia), Brittney Ritzke and David Burdick. Melissa is survived by her sister Amanda Wilson and husband Jeff Wilson and her children Kayla and Jacob Wilson. She loved the beach or any water where she could dip her toes, her grandchildren; Emma and Evelynn, her dogs, fishing (but never was a fan of eating what she caught) and crocheting. She was a true, proud Texas Canadian. Melissa was preceded in death by her mother and sister Jennifer, grandparents Adam and Marion Rogozinski and Oatha and Vernon Hardwick of Niagara Falls Canada. At this time there will be no visitation, as she was to be cremated and then buried with her husband in Hunt, Tx. Steve will host a celebration of life at their home in Bastrop at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any considerations to be given to Hospice in her name, as she would have wanted. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the attending emergency services of Bastrop, Texas. Thank you to everyone who made her life meaningful and beautiful.
