Matthew Brock

Matthew David Brock, 53 of Rockne, passed away on September 01,2021 in Austin. Matt was born in Tampa, FL to Ralph and Marcia Brock on September 01, 1968.

He graduated from Canyon High School in New Braunfels in 1986. He received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from ITT Technical Institute in 1993. He also received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science in September 2020.

He married Beth Ane on May 24, 2014, celebrating how they met with a Karaoke wedding in Rockne.

He worked as an Associate Process Tech 2 for Samsung Austin Semiconductor for 6 years.

He enjoyed karaoke, trivia, computer gaming, movies and time spent with the grandchildren.

Matt is survived by his wife, Beth Ane, her daughter Heather and Zachary Carmack, his mother Marcia Brock and sisters, Evelyn Brock and Kathleen Slight. Grandchildren Ethan and Hadley, nieces and nephews Kaylee, Solana, Elizabeth, Ryan and William.

Matt was preceded in death by his father, Deacon Ralph D. Brock.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00am Saturday September 11, 2021 at Providence Funeral Home in Bastrop, TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or a charity of your choice.
