Mary Alice Recio

Mary A. Recio, 64, passed away on February 9, 2022, in Bastrop, Texas.

Mary was born in Lubbock, Texas, to Sarah Gallardo on November 19, 1957. She went to High School at Crockett High School in Austin, Texas. She married Timothy Cleary on August 8, 1978, in Austin, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

She worked for a number of years at Farmers Insurance Group and eventually joined and worked for the Internal Revenue Service and was employed by them up to the time of her passing.

She enjoyed her leisure time at home.

Mary is survived by Timothy Cleary, her spouse of 44 years, Sons Matthew, James, Peter, daughters, Alexandra, Bianca, and Cylvia. Mary has four grandchildren, Eden, Addie, Arius, and Wyatt.

Mary is also survived by her mother Sarah Esquivel, brothers Kenneth, Daniel, Anthony, and sister Katherine.

Mary is preceded in death by Amado Esquivel, her stepfather.

Visitation will be at Providence Funeral Home on Saturday February 19, 2022, from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at Ascension Catholic Church in Bastrop, on Monday, February 21, 2022, starting at 10 am. Rosary will be held before Mass.

Reception will follow Funeral Mass at Ascension Catholic Church at the Parish Hall.
