Mary Lois Glass, 81, of Del Valle, Texas passed away on April 5, 2021 at her residence in
Garfield, Texas surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Mary was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Bert & Katie Bohannon on June 13, 1939. She
married the love of her life Raymond Dale Glass on May 2, 1959 in Georgia. Moved to Texas
a few years later.
She retired from many different professions. Mary owned an in-home daycare in the late 80’s
to early 90’s. Where she cared for many children she would to this day call her kids. She had a
work ethic like no other.
Mary loved her children and family more than anything in the world. She did enjoy so many
things in the 80’s dominos, cards, a good cup of coffee to dancing in the living room with her
children. Mary also enjoyed caring for children.
Mom would help anyone in need. She was the most incredible, selfless person. It’s hard to list
all that she was. No words would ever come close to describe her. She was a pillar of strength
and love. With all that she endured over her life, she never once complained.
Mary Lois Glass is survived by her daughters Coleen Glass of Garfield, Carole Glass (Tim) of
Garfield, Cassandra Lynn Glass of Pflugerville, Janie Glass of Bastrop, Alonia Baragar of
Georgia and Joyce Rowe of Georgia. Sons Shawn Davis Glass of Dale and Tommy Moran of
Cedar Creek. Sister Sally Sexton of Wilmington, NC. Grandchildren Andrew, Justin, Jared,
Matthew, William, Randy, Jim, Steven, Bradley, Sara, Kathryn, Ashley, Alex, Brittany,
Amber, Bert, Michelle, Kristie, Michelle, Dennis, Robert, Chris. Numerous great great
grandchildren and all the Garfield kids.
Mary is preceded in death by son Robert Kelly Glass, husband Raymond Dale Glass, parents
Bert & Katie Bohannon, Brothers Joe & Bob and sister Lucille Harris.
