Maria Soto

Maria Soto, age 42, of Smithville, passed away on June 24, 2022 in Bastrop, Texas.

Maria was born in Smithville, Texas, to Rosalinda Vargas & Catalino Soto on February 2 ^nd , 1980. She attended school in Smithville. She was married to Benjamin Barragan Jr. on October 22,2016.

Maria moved to Bastrop where she enjoyed spending time with loved ones, dancing, and cooking. She took great pride in her daughters and caring for her family. Her greatest gift was being a “Gigi” to her grandchildren, a loving sibling to her sisters and brother, a fun aunt to her nieces and nephews, and a caring daughter to her parents.

Maria is survived by her husband, Benjamin, four daughters: Abreanna, Desiree, Chastity, and Anna; siblings: Rosalia, Angelica, Jose, and Rosario; parents, Rosalinda & Catalino and grandchildren: Jayden, Cataleya, Rosaly, Javier, & Leanna. She is also survived by twelve nieces & six nephews.

Maria is proceeded in death by her brother Catalino, and her sister Paula.

A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022 in the Bastrop Providence Funeral Home Chapel.
