Lucy Maricela Meraz

Lucy Meraz, 42, of Red Rock, Tx, passed away peacefully with her family by her side April 12, 2022.

Lucy was born in Galveston Texas to Ambrosio Meraz and Irma Meraz on October 25, 1979. Lucy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and helping others. She took great pride in her daughters and caring for her parents. She dedicated her life to her girls and caring for her parents. She was the backbone of the family, and her greatest gift was being the best mom to her girls and best “Uchy” to her nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces. All of whom will miss her tremendously.

Lucy is survived by her Mother: Irma Meraz; Daughters: Jaylan Meraz and Marisa Coy; Brother: Julio Meraz Sr.(Yumara); Sister: Yazmin Meraz (Vanessa); Nephews: Juan Meraz (Corina)and Junior Meraz; Nieces: Stephanie Gonzales (Oscar), Priscilla Meraz (Matthew), Mariah Montoya, Alyssa Montoya, Mila Meraz, Alexandria Ybarra, Marisol Meraz, Valeria Meraz, and Giselle Meraz; Great Nephews: Wyatt Garcia, Ryan Garcia, Julian Leyva, Jaden Garcia, William Leyva, and Ethan Garcia, and Great Nieces: Ashley Vazquez and Sofia Vazquez and various Uncles, Aunts and Cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father Ambrosio Meraz, aunt Angie Meraz, and uncles Guillermo Meraz and Lino Rivera.

Memorial Service will be held at @2:00pm on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests outside plants for the memorial garden that will be located at the residence.
