Loretta M. Fohn

Loretta Marie Goertz Fohn, 76, of Rockne, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 3, 2022.

Loretta was born in Bastrop, TX on November 26, 1946 to Ernest and Clara Goertz.  She attended public schools in Bastrop graduating in May 1965.  She married Jerry Fohn on July 16, 1966.

Loretta worked in the banking industry for First National Bank of Bastrop for many years until her retirement.  After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, which were her life.

She is survived by her two children: Kim Saegert (Keith) and Chris Fohn (Ashley); grandchildren: Riley Johnson (Paul Ryan), Kamryn Saegert, Delaney Saegert, Trevor Fohn (Lexi), Taylor Fohn, Reid Hanna, Kylee Prasek, McKenzie Hanna; brothers: Allen Goertz (Verna), Glenn Goertz (Tammy) and Daron Goertz; sister and brother in-laws: Jonell Callahan (Verlin), Bobby Fohn (Nell), Janet Hendrix (Larry), Johnny Fohn (Cathy), and Joy Ulrich (Mike).  She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; parents, Ernest and Clara Goertz and her in-laws Skeet and Ruby Fohn.

Services will be on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 with recitation of the holy rosary at 10:00am and burial mass following at 10:30 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne, TX.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family wishes to express a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Seton Main Hospital in Austin for the amazing care they provided their Mom and Mawmaw while in their care.
