Larry Darnell Haywood Jr.

Larry Darnell Haywood Jr. passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023. Larry Haywood Jr. was born October 17, 1977 to Larry Haywood Sr. and Lettie (Bradford) Haywood in Bastrop Tx. He was the first of two kids. Larry accepted Christ at a young age. He attended Bastrop High and received his High School Diploma from ACC. From there he attended ITT Tech. Larry found he had a gift for carpentry just as his dad and his grandpa had before him. He realized this was his gift when he met Tom Kelley. Tom hired Larry as part of his construction crew, and he mentored him. Larry was a fast learner and started contracting his own jobs. Larry loved being around his family and friends. He would make sure he saved a dance for his great aunt Arlene Calton at all of the family reunions. He enjoyed watching and attending the PBR Bull Riding. Larry will be remembered by the joy and laughter he gave to others. He married Teresa Christine Ross and from that union he had two children, Lytisha and Darnell Haywood was born, whom he loved very much . Larry later married Kari Goins and from that union four kids were born, Lance, Celeste, Keshawn and Kiara Haywood, whom he also loved very much. He also gained daughters Nikki and Cheyenne who he loved like his own. As years passed, he met and married, the love of his life, Denise Ashley, and gained five daughters, Aumoniece, Aujanae, Lyndrea, Nahageny and Undrea all who he loved like his own. Larry was preceded in death by his son, Darnell Blake Haywood, his grandparents, Rubin Haywood, Winnie Haywood, Earlie Bradford and Ella Bradford. Those left to cherish his memory: his wife, Denise Haywood; children, Lytisha , Aumoniece, Aujanae, Lance, Lyndrea, Celeste, Undrea, Keshawn, Nahageny and Kiara; eleven grandkids, lhla, Legend, Jodie, Alana, Jaxxon, Chris Jr., Kehlanii, Niya, Jouree, Malayah and Salis; parents, Larry and Lettie Haywood; brother Leonard Haywood (Joy); nieces, Lyne ,Layla, and Lashell; special uncles Ronnie Haywood and Curtis Moore and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, 2079 Hwy 71 E. Bastrop TX 78602 Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Providence Primitive Baptist Tabernacle, 120 N. Gaines Rd. Cedar Creek, TX 78612. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1307 State Hwy 95, Bastrop, TX 78602
