Landyn Avery Anaya, age 3 months, of Bastrop, gained her wings on September 16, 2023, in Austin, Texas.
Landyn was born at Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin to Megan and Daniel Anaya on June 12, 2023. She lived her short life at Dell Children’s Hospital fighting incredibly hard and overcoming many obstacles before succumbing to complications associated with a congenital heart defect. Her family prayed for a miracle, but it didn’t come – at least not in the form they envisioned and hoped for. Instead, the miracle was the footprint Landyn left in the hearts of so many who deeply loved her.
Landyn is survived by her parents, Megan and Daniel Anaya; her big brother, Chance Meuth; her grandparents, Delena Meuth, Tina Armindina Marez, and Miguel Anaya and wife Yolanda; her aunts, Lauren Lamson and husband Zachary, Christina Ramirez, Rebecca Valdez and her husband Neris; and her uncle, Michael Anaya, along with numerous extended family members who loved her tremendously.
Landyn is preceded in death by and is in the arms of her grandfather, Darin Meuth.
Landyn’s short life on earth will be honored during a service held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Providence Funeral Home in Bastrop.
Landyn’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the physicians, nurses, and staff at Dell Children’s Heart Center, who did everything possible for their baby girl.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Landyn to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas or The Children’s Heart Foundation.
