Katie V. Jackson

( April 25, 1928 - April 21, 2019)

Katie “Kate” Jones Bryant Jackson (90) was born on April 25, 1928 in Bastrop, Texas, to Nello Jones and Katie Rector.  She was raised by her great aunt Mary Clay Hyder after her mother’s death. Katie was an only child. She departed this life on April 21, 2019. She was a graduate of Emile High School, a member of the Eastern Star and a lifelong member of Mt. Rose Missionary Baptist Church.

Katie is survived by her 6 children, Patrick Bryant (Norrise), Shirley Bryant, Ronald Bryant, Carl Bryant, Karen Bryant and Regina Jackson-Watson; a grandson that she helped raise, Eric Culberson,Jr.; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Pat Bryant and Charles Jackson.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, 2079 Hwy 71 East, Bastrop, Texas

A Repast will immediately follow the Services at Mt. Rose Missionary Baptist Church, 507 Toliver, Bastrop.
