Karen Lynn Stewart

Karen Lynn Stewart, age 57, of Bastrop TX, passed away on August 20, 2022 at St David’s hospital in Austin TX, after her fourth battle with cancer.

Karen was born in Austin, Texas, to Douglas and Ann Wilson on September 27, 1964. On February 24, 1984, Karen married her soul mate Perry Stewart in Austin, Texas.

Karen enjoyed many things in her life, traveling, reading, fishing, movies, music, friends, family and good food. Karen had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep positive way and always with a smile. She was a wonderful person with a heart of gold and will be dearly missed. Rest easy my love until we meet again.

Karen is preceded in death by her mother and father, Douglas and Ann Wilson and her brother Vernon Wilson.

Karen is survived by, her loving husband, Perry Stewart; children, Tara Lyles and Carl Stewart, grandchildren: Madison Lyles, Gracie Lyles and Jackson Stewart, Brothers: Douglas and Billy Wilson. Karen is also survived by too many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Nieces/Nephews to list here.

We will be having a Celebration of Life with music at Providence Funeral Home in Bastrop on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
