Jose "Fernando" Guerrero

Jose Fernando Guerrero, of Cedar Creek, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022, in Austin, TX.

Fernando was born in Tepoxoxuca, Mexico to Jesus Nicolas Guerrero and Elpidia Martinez on November 14, 1957. He married Blanca Elia Jaimes on February 11, 1984, in Bejucos, Mexico. With the affectionate nickname of “Morry” shared between them, Fernando and Blanca’s relationship was one full of love, compassion, and unwavering support.

He worked as a cook and a carpenter for most of his life, providing and caring for his family which was his top priority. He loved traveling and spending time with his beloved grandchildren, who fondly nicknamed him their “Ico.”

He was a kindhearted, compassionate, and loving man who cherished his family above all else and lived the way he loved, wholeheartedly and without restraint. He bettered a person’s life just by being in it. We miss him tremendously but are comforted in knowing that he is now with our Lord, whole and happy.

Fernando is survived by his loving wife, Blanca, sons, Fernando (Ashley), Eduardo (Linda), and Ryan Guerrero, brothers Nicolas, Eduardo, and Valentin, and adored grandchildren, Aria, Dayne, Killian, and Elina Guerrero.

Fernando is preceded in death by his father, Jesus Nicolas Guerrero, his brother-in-law, Nelson Jaimes, and his father-in-law, Eloy Jaimes Sr.

Rosary and Visitation will be 9:00am Friday, April 29, 2022, at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, located at 2079 Hwy 71 E, Bastrop, TX.

Burial will follow at Upper Creek Cemetery, located at 1467 TX-21, Cedar Creek, TX.

Memorials may be given to Blanca Guerrero at 139 Alum Creek Dr, Cedar Creek, TX.
