John D. Luna

John Luna Jr., of Cedar Creek, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in Cedar Creek, Texas.

John was born in Pueblo, Colorado to John and Stella (Dominguez) Luna on September 3, 1969.

He worked as a painter all his life. Johnny enjoyed dancing to Tejano music.

He is survived by his (2 daughters) Kimberly Ann Luna and husband, Rene Cazares, Jannie Leann Valdez; (4 Sons) John Luna Jr III, Benjamin Lee Luna, Jason Renee Luna and Brian Adam Luna and wife, Leslie Ann Cordova; parents, John and Stella Luna; (6 Brothers) Frank Luna and Margaret Galvan, Alex and Juanita Luna, Emilio and Leticia Luna, Andrew and Lisa Luna, Phillip Luna and Imelda Yzaguirre and Matthew Luna; (2 Sisters)  Jennifer Luna-Gonzales and husband, Ralph and Connie Luna. grandchildren: Cesar Angel Cazares, Emmanuel Cazares, Ester Estella Cazares, Israel Cazares, Alexis Renee Cazares, Estevan Cazares, Jacob Luna, Delilah Luna, Jose Luna, Leland Luna, Adam Luna and Naomi Luna.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Candelaria Galvan and his brother Steve Luna.

Pallbearers: Frank Luna, Alex Luna, Emilio Luna, Andrew Luna, Phillip Luna, Matthew Luna and Rene Cazares.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, 2079 Hwy 71 E. in Bastrop. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held following visitation at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home with interment following services at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery.
