Joe Rusnak, 70, of Bastrop, Texas, went with the Lord on December 17, 2020 in Austin, Texas.
Joe was born in Jackson, Mississippi to Joseph and Annie Rusnak on May 14, 1950. He was a Seabee Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era. Many would describe Joe as a jack of all trades and master of none, throughout his life he had many professions and passions, but his family was the pride and joy of his life, and he was sure to always share a story about at least one of them any time you spoke with him. He lived his life his way, on his own terms, doing what he felt was right without compromise and would always see his plans through to the best of his ability.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved and dedicated wife of 50 years, Donna Rusnak of Bastrop, Texas, daughters Dana Bisbey and husband Joe, Gwen Lawrence and husband Micah; three granddaughters Haley Gallman and husband James, Alexis Bisbey, and Leighton Lawrence and grandson Blake Lawrence; three great-granddaughters Paisley, Avery, and Kensley Gallman; siblings Johnny Rusnak and wife Linda, Jackie Wiser and husband Lynn. Joe's passion for others and zest for life will live on through them.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Joe Rusnak Sr., Anne Rusnak, brother Howard Rusnak, and spit-fire mother-in-law Betty "Gran Gran" Fowler.
Memorial will be held after the first of the year at Bastrop Christian Church, date, and time to be determined.
In lieu of flowers we ask that you please make a donation in Joe's name to Dell-Seaton ICU as they took optimal care of him in his final days.
