Jimmy Ray Whited

Jimmy Ray Whited Sr., 64, of Bastrop, Texas passed away on February 23, 2023, with his wife by his side.

Jimmy is survived by his bride of 42 years Becky, their three girls; Christy Nauer and her partner Robert, Misty and Devin Espinoza, Jamie Whited and fiancé Louie; son, Jimmy Whited Jr. and wife Laura. Nine grandchildren: Alyssa, Callee, Elizabeth, EmmaLee, Nathan, Ryan (RJ), Anthony, Layne, Chambree, his bonus grandson Jonathan Whited Sr. and three great-grandchildren, Elaina, Kayson and Maelyn that he was so very proud of. His siblings, Earl and Sharon Whited, Odis and Pam Whited, Linda and Norman Meyer, Frankie and Rhonda Whited, Kathy Horn, and bonus brother Jay Miller and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Libby Whited and his sons-in-law, James Nauer and Ryan Ford.

To know Jimmy, you must have known that he was the hardest working man with the softest heart you would ever meet. When anyone came to visit him, they would almost always find him in the Woodyard splitting wood or building something. When he wasn’t working, he would be fishing in the Colorado River or out hunting, both of which he loved doing, but most of all, he loved his wife, kids, grandkids and great grandkids. The grands had Poppa wrapped around their little fingers.

Family and friends are invited to Bastrop Providence Home from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 for a Visitation to reminisce and support each other.

Funeral Services for Jimmy will begin at 2 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023 in the Chapel at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.

A celebration of Jimmy’s Life will follow the funeral services at the Woodyard.
