Jerry Johnson

Jerry B. Johnson, 80, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away on June 5, 2023. Jerry was born in Macon, Georgia to Mary and Aldean Johnson on January 19, 1943. He married Kay Marshall on June 3, 1962, in Macon, Georgia. Jerry graduated from Mercer University. Jerry started his career as a salesman and became a regional manager for McNeil Laboratories. Later, he advanced his career to Director of Government Affairs for Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals. Some of Jerry’s happiest moments were spent on Lake Sinclair (Georgia) and Lake of the Ozarks (Missouri). He enjoyed boating with his family and friends. Jerry was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinal and Georgia Bulldog football fan. Jerry is survived by his children: Kimberly Jones (Clay), Keith Johnson (Valerie) and Kristopher Johnson (Charlotte), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kay Marshall Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.
