James Lewis

James (Jim, Jimmy) Lewis, 65, of Red Rock, Texas, passed away on the 27th of October 2019.

Jim was born in La Marque, Texas. He graduated from Dickinson High School and continued his education and received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas.

Jim was married to Catherine Fazio on 15 August 1983, they were married 15 years.

Jim worked as an environmental specialist for the City of Austin and State of Texas for over 15 years. He loved snorkeling, social dancing, fishing with best buds, “playing” with his ’78 John Deere, entertaining his grandkids and talking about family history.

Jim is survived by his 3 children, Evan, Jamie and Gabriel; his 2 grandchildren, Carson and Willow, sisters, Ann and Rebecca; brother, Thomas; and other family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Mary; twin brother, Richard; and son, Richard.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on the 23rd  of November, 2019 at Gulf Prairie Presbyterian Church, Jones Creek, Texas.

Scott Cummings of Peace Church Pearland will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Gulf Prairie Presbyterian Church cemetery at 2 p.m. with a Memorial reception held in the Gulf Prairie meeting hall after the burial.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, Bastrop, Texas.
