Jaime Chavez Zuniga

Jaime Chavez Zuñiga, 65, of Bastrop, Texas passed away suddenly on Monday, July 20, 2020 in Austin, Texas.

Jaime Chavez Zuñiga was born in Mexico City to Aurora Chavez and Salvador Zuñiga on September 4, 1954. He was married to his beloved wife, Magdalena Marcela Estrada, on November 16, 1977 in Mexico City. He worked as a carpenter for JE Dunn construction.

He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a great man. A great father, husband, grandfather, father in law and friend. He also enjoyed watching his favorite soccer team play. He especially enjoyed listening to his favorite music and playing with his grandkids.

Jaime Chavez Zuñiga is survived by his loving wife, Magdalena Marcela Estrada along with their children and spouses: Berenice & Pablo Lopez, Brenda Ruby & Martin Serratos, Karem and Daniel Jimenez, Jaime Abisai & Victoria Chavez Jr., and Randy Chavez. Jaime Chavez is also survived by his siblings: Carmen Chavez, Lurdes Chavez, Salvador Chavez, and Ricardo Chavez. Jaime is survived by several grandchildren: Josue Rodriguez, Brittany Berenice Lopez, Angeline Serratos, Eunice Lopez, Jocelyn Marcella Chavez, Yamilet Jimenez, Jaime Ezekiel Chavez, Sophie Julliet Jimenez and Mia Nicole Chavez.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
