Jacob Ryan Guedry

Jacob Ryan Guedry, 37, of Smithville, Texas passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023 in Smithville, Texas.

Jacob was born in Austin, Texas to Gary and Susan Guedry on October 31, 1985.  He attended school in Bastrop, Texas and graduated from Bastrop High School in 2004.  He attended Victoria College and received his Associate’s Degree in Nursing.

He worked as a registered nurse for various companies.  His last was St. David’s Wound Care.  He also worked in hospitals in Victoria, Texas.  Prior to nursing, he was a pharmacy tech in Smithville and Port Lavaca.

Jacob is survived by his brother, Stephen Guedry, his parents, Gary and Susan Guedry, his grandmother, Esther Schlortt, his aunts and uncles David and Rochelle Schlortt, Dianna Grissom, Pam and Randy Stanford, Karen Long, Brian and Kathleen Guedry, Dale and Sharon Guedry, Debbie and Danny Belanger, and his best friend JJ McMullen as well as numerous cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Quinn Schlortt and Bertrand and Sylvia Guedry and uncle Bob Grissom.
