Isaiah Copeland

Isaiah Copeland, 83 of Pinellas Park, FL passed away on November 22, 2022 in Smithville, Texas.

Isaiah was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. He attended Jordan Park Elementary School and Gibbs High where he served as the president of his senior high class. Isaiah was born to Bertha Lee Porter and M. A. Copeland on December 1, 1939. He served for 2 years in the United States Army, stationed in Japan. He moved to New York and where became a US postal service employee, retiring in 1992. Isaiah married Maureen Santurri on Feb 7, 1998 and they moved back to St. Petersburg, Florida where he enjoyed fishing and traveling.

Isaiah is survived by his spouse, Maureen;  daughter Raquel (Christie); stepson Dylan; sisters Shirley Allen from St. Petersburg, FL and Carolyn Harris (Rev Barton) from Nashville, TN.; brother Willie Washington Jr. (Lawanda); two granddaughters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Isaiah is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ellis Washington.

Memorial services are to be announced at a later date. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
