Intz Mckeever Walker

Intz Ann McKeever Walker, 80, of Lincoln City, OR, peacefully passed away on March 5, 2023 in La Grange, Texas.

Intz was the first of five children born of Daniel and Intz Pugh McKeever on July 14, 1942 in Houston, Texas.

She went to Bellaire High School, Bellaire, TX.  Intz graduated from the University of North Texas earning her bachelor’s degree and master’s degrees from several other universities.

She worked as a public-school teacher, librarian, and counselor in multiple school districts in California and Oregon. She enjoyed teaching and helping young people find their place in the world. Intz impacted the lives of many students during her career in the public school system.

Intz enjoyed reading & listening to books as well as traveling. She traveled to many places around the world. She especially like to visit friends in Mt. Shasta, CA where she met & developed very close life-long friends. She also loved to travel home to Texas for Christmas celebrations.

Intz is survived by her brothers - Dan McKeever of Birmingham, Alabama, Tim McKeever of Texas, and her sisters - Liz Wallace of Winchester, Texas & Michele (Mickie) Weth of Winchester, Texas. She has many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored.

Intz is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel A. McKeever & Intz McCann Pugh McKeever and her grandparents, Earl Clinton Pugh & Intz Leila McCann Pugh.
