Ida Cappas

Ida Cappas, 92 of Bastrop, passed away on February 21, 2021 in Bastrop, TX.

Ida was born in Toa Alta, PR to Ramon and Petrona Ortiz on October 1, 1928. She first married Juan Cintron and later married Rafael Cappas Jr. in New York, NY.

She enjoyed home decorating and helping others in the family and friends from the various cities she lived in. She had many friends that loved her for the kind and loving person she genuinely was.

Ida is survived by her daughters Miriam Cintron, Beatrice Cappas, Yolanda Kidwell and son Rafael Cappas III as well as her beloved grandchildren Carlos Ramos, Bianca Ramos, Shaun Cappas, Shivahn Rodriguez, Delilah Perez, Catherine Cappas, and her beloved great-grandchildren Shaun Cappas Jr., Julian Cappas, Janessa Soto, Joshua Soto and Gabriel Rodriguez, Evangelina Alejandro, Josian Martinez.

Ida is preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Petrona Ortiz, sisters Hilda, Domitila, Librada, Eligia, Pino, Marta and brother Alfonso, as well as her son Hector Cintron and former husbands Juan and Rafael Jr.

A private family service will be 3:00 p.m. February 25, 2021 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.
