Hunter Sherylynne Hartman

November 23, 1993 — April 17, 2021

Hunter Sherylynne Hartman was a caring and fierce daughter, sister, friend and advocate. She left this world suddenly on April 17th, 2021 in Austin, TX at age 27.

God blessed us with this miracle of joy on November 23rd, 1993 to Beth and Donny Hartman in Baytown, Texas. The moment Hunter was born, she was a lighthouse bringing strength and hope for her family. As Hunter grew so did her light and she touched the lives of so many. Hunter loved to read and had a great love for learning. She graduated from Bastrop High School in 2012, and went on to continue her education at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Hunter was part of the Phi Mu Epsilon Pi Chapter at Tarleton State University. Shortly after graduating from Tarleton, she went on to receive her graduate level certification in International Relations from Texas A&M. Hunter wanted to make a real difference in the world and her kind heart kept calling her to help those in need. To fulfill this need, she earned her MSW in social work from Baylor University in May 2020. Additionally, she became a Credentialed Advocate (CA) through the National Organization for Victim Assistance.

Hunter was a beautiful sunflower in this world who believed in God’s love. Her trust and faith in God enabled her to spread hope. She had a desire to seek light and truth, so it was only fitting that she worked as a victim service specialist for the Manor Police Department. Besides her full time job at the PD, Hunter also counseled victims of trauma at Counter Balance Counseling in Austin, TX. Hunter’s favorite animal was the lion because of what it represented in her life; courage, strength and excellence and that is what she brought to anything and everything that she did in her life.

To maintain her own level of joy, Hunter spent time with her family, friends, and fur babies. In addition to being a light for others, Hunter’s passions included live music, travel, fishing, and game nights at home.

Hunter is survived by her brother Dylan James Hartman, her brother Dustin Hartman and his fiance Patricia Jaramillo. Her parents Beth and Donny Hartman. Her aunt Sheryl Bucsanyi, her aunt Karan King and uncle Lance King. Her nana Judy Bucsanyi, her papa Steve Bucsanyi and grandma Deloris Bucsanyi. And by her soul sister Pili Garcia and her fiance Marcus Clark and her niece Celia Clark.
