Gregory Douglas Oliver, of Flatonia, Texas, passed away on September 21st after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Greg was born in Irving, Texas on February 17, 1970, to Thomas and Wynola Oliver in Irving, Texas, growing up under the giant shadow of Cowboys Stadium. He went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. Greg’s true love was acting but pursued a career in IT and was employed by WellMed Medical Management in San Antonio when he fell ill.
Greg is preceded in death by his second wife, Julie Zinck; his father, Thomas Oliver; and his mother, Wynola Oliver. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nicole Oliver; his stepson, Ryan Harrison, and spouse Ricky of Gig Harbor, Washington; stepdaughter, Morgan Harrison and spouse Robert Goodrich of Lubbock, Texas; stepdaughter, Shelby, and spouse Jeremy Ernster of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He also leaves behind his sister, Rhonda Oliver of Irving, Texas; his brother, Rod Oliver of Fairplay, Colorado; his in-laws, Nick and Sherrie Wilson of Smithville, Texas; grandchildren, Mackenzie and baby Dean of Lubbock, Texas, and baby Andrew of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In addition, he is survived by his niece, Lanaya Oliver, and nephew, Race Oliver and his best friend Roland Zamorano of Arlington, Texas.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mercury One Foundation or Pre-born, honoring Greg’s memory and dedication to causes close to his heart.
