Gregory Scott Mueller

Gregory Scott Mueller, age 61, from Midland, Michigan, tragically passed away in a fire Saturday, July 7th in Cedar Creek, Texas with his devoted dog, Oliver at his side.Greg was born to William and Marguerite (Wirtz) Mueller April 30th of 1957 in Midland, Michigan, the first of 5 children. Greg grew up playing every sport available to him. After graduating from Dow High in 1975, he attended Ferris State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in business management. Greg spent many years working retail in Indiana where he married and started his family, and then Illinois, before moving to Texas. In addition to working for Travis County Juvenile Probation Department, Greg’s passion for bicycling led him to owning a bicycle rental company in Austin, Rollin’ Rentals. Greg had an affinity for repairing and fixing up neglected bikes In addition to riding them. He also loved animals and frequently walked dogs at the Bastrop County Animal Shelter. Greg was a friendly, genuine and caring individual who made friends with everyone he met. Besides his parents, Greg left many loved ones behind. His children, Joshua Mueller of Cedar Creek, TX, and Brittney (Dennis) Krauth of Brazil, Indiana. Grandchildren: Ashtin Bullerdick, Becca Archer and Willow Krauth all of Brazil, Indiana. Siblings Dan (Lauren) Mueller of Austin, Texas; Ken (Evelyn) Mueller of Lake Jackson, Texas; Philip (Terri) Mueller of Cedar Creek, Texas and Monica (Sean) Pardel of Midland, Michigan and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. in Bastrop Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7 P.M. A Catholic Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne, followed by a graveside service at Eloise Woods Community Natural Burial Park in Cedar Creek, where Oliver will be buried with his cremains.  Anyone wishing to make a donation in Greg’s memory, please consider Friends of Bastrop County Animal Shelter, Bastrop, TX; Yellow Bike Project, Austin, TX; or Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockne, TX.
